| Comment to be added to filter |
[21 Dec 2007|06:34am] |
Starting right now, I am on Uberman's sleep schedule (sleeping six 15-30 minute naps, max 3 hours total sleep a day).
I'm going to try updating every day or so, similar to what was done in this blog (only a heck of a lot briefer).
If you have interest in alternative sleeping patterns--or watching me go slowly insane from sleep deprivation--comment here to be added into the filter.
I figure most of you aren't interested... So I'm only adding interested users ^^

| HARUKA 4!!! (fangirling) |
[25 Nov 2007|11:30am] |
I've been dancing around like a maniac since I heard that Harukanaru Toki No Naka De 4 is coming out for PS2 this March!

The official website is even up! (although it only features three characters at the moment... The game generally has an abundance of characters...)
kirimi did a great job translating and explaining the place/character information in this post--the game seems to be pretty steeped in mythology, this time around.

| (@_@) DDR of death |
[24 Nov 2007|05:06pm] |
This is apparently a song that wastaken out of the US version of the most recent DDR game.
It makes my eyes hurt. I'll stick with my Samba De Amigo, thanks (coming out to Wii next year).
EDIT- hyuga points out:

| Ouija Board Description |
[16 Nov 2007|09:19pm] |
I thought this was very amusing:
This is the description of the most current version of the Ouija board game as described by toysrus.com.

I found the first "feature" to be especially funny, but pretty much the whole description is humorous. "How it works has been a mystery for over 30 years"? While that is true, for a game that started in 1848, it may be a bit of an understatement ;)
...I gotta get me some evil spirits! ;P

| Japan does cute so well |
[20 Oct 2007|07:06pm] |
I posted this in japanese_news, but thought it was worth posting here too...
</div>(look closely at the picture) "The fact that such ideas were greeted with straight faces, or even appeared at all, underscores Japanese society's fondness for oddball ideas and inventions."
"The “manhole bag,” another of Ms. Tsukioka’s inventions, is a purse that can hide your valuables by unfolding to look like a round sewer cover. These ideas might strike foreigners as far-fetched,” Ms. Tsukioka said, “but in Japan, they can become reality.”

| Stephen Colbert running for President |
[17 Oct 2007|07:06pm] |
Now that Stephen Colbert is running for President (for real!), I'm not sure who I want to back in the elections...
It's gotta be either him or my regular favorite...

| Which way is this dancer spinning? |
[16 Oct 2007|10:04pm] |
(I see it going clockwise most of the time... but anti-clockwise a lot, too x_X)
The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise? If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.
LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses logic detail oriented facts rule words and language present and past math and science can comprehend knowing acknowledges order/pattern perception knows object name reality based forms strategies practical safe RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses feeling "big picture" oriented imagination rules symbols and images present and future philosophy & religion can "get it" (i.e. meaning) believes appreciates spatial perception knows object function fantasy based presents possibilities impetuous risk taking link
